FALL RIVER-With profound sorrow, we share the loss of Maria C. Miguel Medeiros, passed away on February 1, 2026, at Charlton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife to Manuel Gilbert Medeiros. Born in St. Michael, Azores she was predeceased by her parents Antonio Mariano Ferreira and Maria (Miguel) Dos Anjos.

Maria and her husband just hit their 62 years of marriage. She worked for many years as a dedicated machine operator at Anderson Little, taking great pride in her work and the strong work ethic she carried throughout her life. At home, she was a devoted housewife whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. She loved baking—filling the house with the smell of homemade treats—and she made every holiday feel special with her traditions, warmth, and attention to detail. She went on many vacations with her family, creating memories that they still cherish, from simple weekend trips to long-awaited getaways. Family time meant everything to her, whether it was gathering around the table, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other's company. She immigrated here in September 1977, building a new life through hard work, resilience, and love.

She survived by her children: Cesario M. Medeiros (Wife Luisa) of Berkley, Antonio F. Medeiros of Fall River; siblings: Alda Cordeiro and Henrique Ferreira (Wife Conceicao); grandchildren: Stephanie M. Kelly (Husband Jon), Kelsey M. Medeiros (Fiancé Dale Vose Jr) and Nelson L. Medeiros; great-grandchild Jameson R. Kelly. She was predeceased by her son Gilbert M. Ferreira Medeiros. Several nieces and nephews.

A morning visitation for Maria will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 8:00-9:30 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. A funeral mass will follow in Espirito Santo Church, 311 Alden St., Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
