Maria Perfeita (Martins Lopes) Eira, age 80 and previously of Milford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born in Vilarinho Das Quartas, Portugal, Maria was the former wife of  Antonio Martins Da Eira and the daughter of the late Alexandre Capela and the late Maria Martins Lopes.

Prior to retiring, Maria worked for a paper product manufacturer in Norwood as a machine operator. Maria enjoyed spending her time dedicated to her family, especially with her grandchildren. A great day was spending time with the ones she loved. One of Maria's big joys in life was going back home to visit her sister and family in Portugal.

Maria is survived by her son John Eira (Lisa) of New Bedford, her daughter Ann Marie Silva (Sergio) of Bellingham, sister Rosa Martins Lopes Dos Santos, brother Antonio Martins Lopes, 5 grandchildren Gianna Silva-Wright, Milania Silva, Jared Testa, Jenna & Tyler Eira, many nieces & nephews. Maria was also predeceased by her siblings Deolinda Martins Lopes, Alexandre Martins Lopes, and Jose Lopes Martins.

Maria's visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 11 A.M – 12 P.M. with a service to follow at 12 P.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 664 Allen St., New Bedford.
