It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to the beloved Maria "Fatima" Medeiros of New Bedford, who passed away at the age of 52, on January 20, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She leaves behind her best friend, partner and her love Paul Monteiro of over 21 years. Born in Faja de Baixo , São Miguel, Açores, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Ricardo) Medeiros. Fatima worked for Guild Mortgage Company for many years as a mortgage broker. Fatima was was an amazing person and was loved by many. Always genuine and kind to anyone who needed anything.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her daughter Tiffany DoRego and her [spouse/companion] of New Bedford; grandchildren Cameron, Manuel and Breidy; siblings Louie Medeiros of Westport, Esmeralda Botelho of Fall River, Rosa Machado of Swansea, Norbert Medeiros of Fall River and Angie Medeiros of Fall River; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, who will sadly miss her, including who she loved and considered as her own in-laws Arthur and Maria Monteiro.

Her calling hours will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, January 25 ^th from 4-8 P.M. with at 6 P.M. Cremation to follow.
