Fall River-     Maria B. Ferreira, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on January 20th 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of Joao deMedeiros Arruda and Diamantina daCosta, and the beloved wife of Jaime Ferreira.

Prior to her retirement, Maria was a housekeeper for many years at the Catholic Memorial Home.  She enjoyed cooking all sorts of her families' favorite dishes, as well as sewing, she was a very proud Christian, and the absolute best Mother, Grandmother and friend.  She valued the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and loved her family deeply.

Maria is survived by her children; John Ferreira and his wife Jennifer, Louie Ferreira, and Clara Pimentel and her husband Paul; her sister, Adrianna Sousa; as well as her beloved grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Maria was predeceased by her son Jimmy Ferreira.

Her funeral will take place on Monday, January 24 ^th at 9:00 A.M. at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N Main St. Fall River, with a service in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.  Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23 ^rd from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home with a service at 6:00 P.M.
