Fall River-  Maria E. "Hope" Adriano, age 67, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 4 ^th .  Born in Santa Barbara, Santo Antonio, Sao Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Leonardo Arruda and Maria (Batista) Arruda.  She is the beloved wife of Artur P. Adriano.

Maria was a garment worker at AJ Wright for many years prior to her retirement.  She enjoyed going out for breakfast and talking to her friends.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Artur P. Adriano; her children; Melissa Adriano and her partner Jason Teves; Diane Adriano and her partner Robert Medeiros; her siblings; Maria Goretti Aguiar and Carlos "Charlie" Arruda; her grandchildren; Cassidy and Cohen Medeiros; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Maria is predeceased by her siblings; Jose Arruda, Arthur Arruda and Susan Levesque.

Maria's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Monday, August 8th with extended calling hours from 8:30-10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michaels Church at 10:30 A.M.
