It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria L. Pavao of Fall River, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Wife of the late Jose R. Pavao, and born in São Vincente, Ferreira, São Miguel, Açores, daughter of the late Pedro and Maria (Pedro) Lopes. Prior to retirement, Maria worked as a Presser for Trina for many years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Henry L. Pavao and his wife Clo of Fall River; 5 grandchildren; Kevin Pavao, Tanya Pavao, Jessica Carreiro, Christopher Pavao, and Amanda Pacheco; 5 great-grandchildren; Aiden Coleman, Kenzie Carreiro, Amyiah Coleman, Jameson Pavao, and Jackson Pavao as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Raymond Pavao and Eduino "Eddie" Pavao (wife Norma) and her sister Deolinda Lopes.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, January 11th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Tuesday, January 10th from 5-7 P.M.
