Fall River - Mariana de Lourdes (Ferreira) Raposo, age 87, passed away peacefully at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home on March 4 ^th , 2022.  Born in Santa Barbara alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, Mariana was the beloved wife of 62 yrs. to the late Antero Raposo, and the daughter of the late João and Diamantina (Ramos) Ferreira.

Mariana enjoyed spending time out shopping, she liked to sew and was an excellent cook.  She was a devout Catholic, a long-time parishioner of Santo Christo. Most of all, Mariana was the most nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she loved her family and will be deeply missed.

Mariana is survived by her children; Maria Santa Raposo, Maria dosAnjos de Oliveira, Herondina Viveiros, Lidia Rodrigues, Maria Jose Quiterio, João Raposo and Paula Barreira.  As well as 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents & husband she was predeceased by her son; Antero M. Raposo; her siblings; Maria DosAnjos, Olivia, Deolinda, João, Antonio, Mannuel, Sarafin, Augustinho and Bento.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N Main St. Fall River on Wednesday March 9 ^th at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Santo Christo at 9:00 AM.  Internment at Notre Dame Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday March 8 ^th from 4:00-7:00 PM.  To share a memory or offer a condolence please visit www.rogersfuneral.com .
