Marie (Pee Wee) Erickson, age 99 of Swansea, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, Marie was predeceased by her husband Junior C. (Eric) Erickson, her parents Jacinto and Calminha (Rego) Soares, and recently by her son Jeffrey Erickson.

Marie had worked as a sewing machine operator at Sheniasons Mfg., a nurse's aide at the Truesdale Hospital, a part time hairdresser, and lastly as a housekeeper at Catholic Memorial Home. She also loved to play bingo, try her luck at the casinos, and vacationing in Florida. Most of all, Marie loved to ride her John Deere Tractor.

Survivors include Marie's children Dawn Turner of Swansea, Gina Weyland of Swansea, Andrea Crespi (husband Joseph) of Berkley, and Eric J. Erickson (wife Barbara) of Swansea, 10 grandchildren Anson & Keith Turner (wife Tracie), Andrew, Christopher, & Daniel Erickson (wife Monica), Sean & Loren Weyland, Briel, Bailey, & Jillian Crespi, 2 great grandchildren Kaiden & Gable Turner, and many nieces & nephews. Marie was also the sister of the late Alice Soares, Mary Silvia, Isabel Roderiques, Frank P. Soares, John P. Soares, Jesse Soares, Caroline Therrien, and Valentine Montgomery.

Marie's wake will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025 from 4-7 P.M. at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025 here at 9:00 A.M. with a funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Congregational Church, 1113 G.A.R Highway, Swansea, MA. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
