FALL RIVER – Marilyn Lois (Medeiros) Martins, age 89 and a resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Catholic Memorial Home with her loving family by her side. Born in Somerset, MA Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Lewis Martins Jr. and the daughter of the late Elmer & Viola (Wamboldt) Medeiros.

Prior to retiring, Marilyn worked for Pickwick Record Distribution Co. as a Manager. Marilyn was a talented seamstress and worked privately as a dressmaker. She also volunteered at the Fall River Historical Society. Most of all, Marilyn enjoyed being with her family, especially with all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two Boston terriers (Charlotte and Lowell).

Marilyn is survived by her five children: Deborah Martins of Fall River, MA, Cathleen Gagnon  (Paul Gagnon) of W. Wareham, MA, Kevin Martins (Robin Martins) of Fall River, MA, Susan Rebello of Middleboro, MA and Michael Martins (Raymond DeMello) of Fall River, MA; siblings: Shirley Bergeron, Lawrence Medeiros, Errol Medeiros, the late Carol Madsen, and the late Robert Medeiros; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.

Marilyn's services will be private per her wishes and are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. Memorial contributions in Marilyn's memory may be made to the Fall River Historical Society, 451 Rock St., Fall River, MA 02720.
