Marilyn A.
Soares
Dec 3, 1946 — Aug 22, 2026
Tiverton
TIVERTON - Marilyn A. Soares, age 79. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Soares Jr. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Correia) Carvalho.
Marilyn Soares was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted family woman whose family was truly her entire world. Nothing was more important to Marilyn than spending time with the people she loved, especially her children and grandchildren. She had a deep love for music, and one of her happiest places was in her car, with the music playing very, very loud. Friday nights were especially special, as she loved taking all the kids out and letting them choose wherever they wanted to go. In her later years, Marilyn developed a special love for Wendy's, where the staff always went above and beyond to accommodate her and cared for her with genuine kindness. Marilyn was happiest surrounded by her family, enjoying her music, and simply being herself, things that brought her the greatest joy throughout her life.
She was loved and cherished by her children Karen Pimental and her husband Ernesto and John Soares III and his girlfriend Michele, late daughter-in-law Wendy Soares; grandchildren Cameron John Soares, Justin Pimentel and the late John Soares IV; great-grandchildren Kyzer Soares and Cameron Soares Jr.; siblings William "Billy" Carvalho and his wife Maria Carvalho and the late John Carvalho Jr. and Nancy Neronha; as well as many nieces and nephews.
