Obituary

Attleboro – Marjorie L. (Fleet) Michaud, passed away on May 5 th 2023 at the age of 81. She was born and raised in Fall River, and she was the daughter of the late William and Rita (Thibault) Fleet.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for a Jewelry Company in Rhode Island, creating jewelry and even designed quite a few pieces that sold in the store. Margie met the love of her life, Donald, at the old gangplank (Leones on the Waterfront), where she confidently asked him for a dance. Little did he know, that he would marry her six years later and make so many beautiful memories together. She absolutely adored her husband and he adored her, she loved to dote upon him, making his meals and taking care of their home. They enjoyed traveling, even visiting London, and Margie liked to show off her incredible talent in any craft she tried to Don. She enjoyed all crafts, especially knitting little caps for new born babies, half being donated to Charlton Hospital and the other to their hometown hospital, Sturdy Memorial.  Margie even crafted a Nativity scene by hand and painted all the figures. She was an unbelievable knitter and cross-stitcher, often making items for relatives, but the one she was most proud of was the one she made Don, which was a piece chronicling his life, time spent in the service, the places he visited and more, it was the most thoughtful gift. She even taught knitting at the Attleboro Public Library and became a mentor to some of the younger women that wanted to learn. She also highly enjoyed antiquing, her and Don would go almost weekly to The Four Echos Vintage Shoppe at Grist Mill Pond and he would patiently wait while she browsed the new inventory, he would do just about anything to see her flash the most beautiful smile. Margie also loved to cook and looked forward to the holidays where her family would get together and she could host as well as prepare the meal, never mind baking the desserts, so many different kinds in fact, they almost filled a room. She had an incredible memory and was often referred to as "Marjorie the Librarian" because whenever someone could not remember an address, phone number or even a tiny detail, all they had to do was reach out to Margie and she would be able to assist, recalling every piece of information they would need. She was a loving, caring, beautiful woman, whose mere presence would light up an entire room, and she will be so deeply missed.

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 30 years, Donald Michaud as well as her children and stepchildren.
