ASSONET – Martin C. Bonito, age 84, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Feteiras, São Miguel, Açores, Martin was the beloved husband to Carol (Fuchs) Bonito. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Georgiana (Martins) Bonito, and by his siblings Jose Bonito, Alfred Bonito and Lucy Amaral.

Martin worked as a dedicated truck driver and equipment operator in the construction industry, and took great pride in maintaining his property, always tending to his garden with care and attention. He had a special bond with his beloved dog, Abby, who was never far from his side. A true New England Patriots fan, he loved cheering on his team and rarely missed a game. His days were filled with simple joys, hard work, and the things he loved most like his classic car "Ol' Blu".

Martin is survived by his children: Ronald Bonito (wife Lisa) of Westport, Fatima Forni (husband Ralph) of Lakeville and Daura Levesque (late husband Scott) of Swansea; Step-children: Kathleen Morad of Fall River and Erik Morad of Rochester, MA; siblings: Deborah Luiz, Maria Hilda Cordeiro, Maria Barboza, Geri Martins of Fall River, Fatima Melanson of Swansea and Natalie Pereira of Florida; grandchildren: Aaron Bonito, Joshua Pelletier, Ryan and Lynnsey Johnson and Craig, Katelee, and Edward Morad; great grandchildren: Gavin & Leilani Jonnsen, Jaxson Johnson, Lydia & Oliver Johanson, Henri & Wyatt Pelletier, Sebastian & Samantha Morad.

Martin's visitation will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Fall River at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
