New Bedford – Mary (Pike) Steinemer, age 79, passed away on January 2 ^nd .  Born in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Harold C. and Helen Frances (Surkont) Pike.  She was the loving wife of the late Carl Steinemer.

Prior to her retirement Mary was a home health aide for many years, caring for folks in their homes.  A challenging career, however she adored her clients and took pride in her job.  She was a wonderful foster mom to many children for several years.  Mary was a tough woman, full of sarcasm and wit, who never let a moment go by where she wasn't joking about something.  She absolutely loved Willy Nelson and trips to Maine and New Hampshire. She also truly loved her and her daughter Pam's dog, who she helped name "TooKay".  She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, foster mom, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed.

Mary is survived by her children; Pamela Carlozzi of New Bedford and her partner Victor Andrade, Bill Lennon III and his wife Leslie of Fall River; her grandchildren; William Lennon llll , Nautica Lennon, Lindsey Mello, Kenneth Medeiros, Shelby Noiseux; her sisters; H. Louise Murphy & the late William Murphy of Sherborn, MA. Carol & Phillip Marks of Nantucket, MA many nieces and nephews; as well as her dear friend Joan Lodge.
