Mecias Rego, age 73 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Born in Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores, Mecias was the son of the late Luis do Rego and the late Margarida (Oliveira) do Rego, and the former husband of Leonor (Medeiros) Rego.

Prior to retiring, Mecias worked as a machinist for a local tool & dye company. He loved to go fishing, worked hard to keep his yard immaculate, and going for walks with his dog Buddy. Most of all, Mecias loved spending time with his family.

Mecias was the father of Michael Rego of Sarasota, FL, Stephen Rego of Fall River, MA, and the late Derek M. Rego; the brother of  Edmund Rego, and Maria do Carmo Medeiros; and the grandfather of Bianca Rego & Olivia Rose Rego. Mecias was also the brother of the late Luis do Rego, Herman Rego, & Victoria Rego.
