Michael
Almeida
Nov 17, 1956 — Jun 9, 2026
Fall River
Michael Almeida, age 69 a lifelong resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at St. Anne's Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Manuel & Evelyn (Carreiro) Almeida, and the beloved husband of Linda Almeida for over 40 years.
Prior to retiring, Michael worked as a landscaper for Tru-Green Landscaping. He loved to do anything outdoors, like fishing, boating, and gardening. Michael enjoyed playing cards with his brothers, playing bingo, and was an avid Boston Bruins fan. The two thing that brought great joy to Michael were going to watch his grandson play baseball and going to watch his granddaughter act & dance at her plays & recitals.
Michael was a kind hearted man who befriended anyone that he met. He would offer his help anyone that needed it and was a great all-around human being. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to Linda, survivors include his children Jennifer Almeida Karpey (husband Patrick), Kristy Lee Almeida (companion Scott LaBerge), Michael Almeida, and Derek Almeida all of Fall River; his brother Gil De Almeida; grandchildren McKenzie, Mason, Kendra, Kayla, Julianna, Chloe, Michael, & Lilly; great granddaughters Ellianna & Ryleigh; several godchildren, including Steven & Jason Almeida; sister-in-law Cheryl Almeida; brother-in-law Steve Santos; many nieces & nephews. Michael was predeceased by his siblings Manuel Almeida, Mary Remy, Linda Medeiros, Steven Almeida, Frankie Almeida, & Alfred Almeida.
