FALL RIVER - We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Michael J. Amaral of Fall River, at the age of 81. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecile (Gendreau) Amaral and son of the late Antone and Maria (Gaspar da Rocha) Amaral. For many years Michael worked for Pioneer Finishing/Duro in Fall River and Paragon Gear in Taunton. He dedicated time volunteering at Veterans Association of Bristol County Fall River. He enjoyed taking long Sunday drives and attending his grandchildren's games.

Michael was the loving father to his two daughters Brenda Holt  (spouse Robert) of Berkley and Sandra Costa  (spouse Matthew) of Somerset; brother of Antone Amaral of Tiverton, Kathleen Medeiros of Carver and the late Genevieve A. Minkin; grandfather to Courtney and Nathaniel Holt and Matthew Jr. and Nina Costa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, who will sadly miss him.

Arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
