FALL RIVER - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael A. Martin, who passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Beloved husband of Brenda (Lopes) Martin, and born in Fall River to the late Fernando and Alice (Cabral) Martin.

Michael, who worked as the Lead Groundsman at Brown University, was a man of many passions. He found joy in singing karaoke and spending time doing yardwork. His skills as a handyman were evident in his love for building things. He was an avid Bruins fan. Michael also adored his two cats, Oreo and Lip. However, above all else, he cherished the moments spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he was loved and cherished by many people including his daughter Shannon Rego (husband Erik) of Fall River; grandchildren Aubree, Bryant and Kora Rego; siblings Carolyn L. Cabral (husband Michael), Kenneth M. Martin (wife Beth Ann) and Cheryl Ann Holden (husband Joseph), all of Fall River; sister-in-law Tracy St. Pierre (husband Jasen); godson Addison Lopes and niece Lauren St. Pierre; as well as many other family and friends who will sadly miss him. Michael was predeceased by his sister Beverly Ann Martin.

Following cremation, a visitation for Michael will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 9-11 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 A.M.
