FALL RIVER – Mildred B. Mendonca, age 101, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel F. Mendonca. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Ernest and Gertrude (Duxberry) Bolton. She was a parishioner of the Third Baptist Church. Prior to retirement she was a presser at the ILGWU her whole life. She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Patricia Purcell of LeCanto, FL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Manuel F. Mendonca, brother Alfred Bolton, sister Elsie Hoy and grandchildren Beverly Rogers, Mark and Jody Swist.
