Moises Pereira, age 63 of Fall River, passed away after a courageous battle with ALS on Sunday, March 9, 2025 in the comforts of his home with his family by his side. Born in Fenais da Luz, São Miguel, Açores, Moises was the son of the late Edgardo M. and the late Isabel (Lopes) Pereira. He was the beloved husband of 39 yrs. to Maria H. (Andrade) Pereira.

Moises had worked for Quaker Fabric, and then lastly at the Stop & Shop Warehouse. He enjoyed vacationing at Las Vegas, visiting casinos near and far, and trying his luck with scratch tickets. He also loved to go on cruises with his wife whom he loved so much. Most of all, Moises loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Maria, Moises is survived by his sons Stephen Pereira (wife Jennifer) of Tiverton and Kenneth Pereira of New Bedford; siblings Maria Guida Tavares (husband Walter) of Somerset, Edgardo Pereira (wife Sãozinha), Jose Pereira (wife Marilia), and Valter Pereira (wife Cristina) all of Fall River; grandchildren Trinity, Alana, and Emily Pereira; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jose Manuel Andrade & Eduarda Andrade; many nieces & nephews.

A funeral for Moises will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, March 14, 2025  here at 10:45 AM followed by a funeral mass at Santo Christo Church at 12:00 PM. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, FR. Calling hours on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 5-8 PM.
