FALL RIVER – Myra G. (Bettencourt) Souza, age 79 of Rehoboth, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Sao Vincente, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Sousa) Bettencourt.

Myra knew how to love and embrace life! Always on the go with family and friends. When Myra was not working as a plant manager in the local textile industry, she enjoyed spending her time being at South shore beach, golfing, dancing and singing. She loved to travel far and wide to new destinations for each trip especially with her golfing gals! Myra's heart belonged to her friends and family and she cherished them deeply. She was an incredible light force in all their lives.

Survivors include: daughter, Kelli Medeiros-Rapoza (and Joseph) of Rehoboth, MA; grandchildren, Jacob Souza, Samantha Souza, Jill Rapoza, Joseph Rapoza, and Noah Rapoza; siblings, John Bettencourt, Lee Tavares, Gabriel Bettencourt, and Antone Bettencourt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Myra was predeceased by her siblings, Tillie, Agnes, Joseph, Alice, and James.

Following cremation, a memorial visitation for Myra will be held on Wednesday, March 19th from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. with a service at 12:30 P.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N.
