FALL RIVER- It is with great sadness that we share the news of Olive S. (Moniz) Reney, age 91, who passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on February 16, 2026 with family by her side. She was the beloved wife to the late Henry N. Reney. Born in Fall River she was the daughter of the late Antone S. Moniz and Olive (Vianna) Moniz.

She found great joy in traveling. She frequently took bus trips, always looking forward to the excitement of the day and the company she shared along the way.

Olive had a generous heart. She had a fondness for collecting small treasures and unique keepsakes. Day trips and sightseeing outings brought her much happiness, as she was always ready for a new adventure. She was employed at F.B. Rogers Silver Company, where she worked faithfully and took pride in her work. She also worked as a laundromat attendant, where she was known for her kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand.

She loved playing cards with family and friends, watching the birds, and going out to eat. She had a great love for traditional country music and old movies. She truly cherished time spent with loved ones and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandson.

Olive survived by her children: Wayne D. Reney (wife Kimberly), Darlene A. Wilson (husband Andy) and Michele A. Souza (husband David); brother James Moniz; along with 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Randy S. Reney and her brothers Antone and Manuel Moniz.

Olive's visitation will take place February 21, 2026 from 8:30-10:00 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, followed by a service by Chaplain Ines Bates at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
