Osvaldo Manuel Nunes, 84, of Fall River, passed away at his home, with his family by his side after a brief illness on February 7, 2022. He was the beloved husband to Maria Rosa Nunes whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Fajã De Cima, São Miguel, Azores. He was the son of the late Manuel Rodrigues Nunes and Emilia Pereira Pimentel.

After coming to the US, Osvaldo was employed as a material handler for Quaker Fabrics for over 20 years until his retirement in 2007. He loved the  simple things in life, and was a man who enjoyed tending to his grape vines, and watching the soccer team Sporting. Most importantly though he loved spending time with his family and close friends.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his children: Paul Nunes of New Hampshire, Helen Aguiar ( husband Louis) of Fall River, and Sonia Almeida of Fall River; Grandchildren: Katelyn Serriello (husband Brett), Larissa Proulx (husband Kyle), Evyn Moreira, Ariana Nunes, and John Almeida Jr, along with 1 great grandchild, Avery, whom he adored. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including his god-daughter Helena Medeiros who lovingly helped care for him. He was predeceased by his son, Luis Nunes, sister, Lubelia Couto, and grandson, Johnathan Nunes.

Visitation for Osvaldo will take place on Friday, Feb. 11 ^th from 9-10 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 A.M.
