Paul Rioux, age 82 and a lifelong resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026 at the Country Gardens Nursing Care Center in Swansea. Paul was the beloved husband of Sheila Ann (Couto) Rioux and the son of the late Joseph and Doris (Proulx) Rioux.

Prior to retiring, Paul worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for Tilly Realty Corp. and Korber Hats for many years.

Paul was loved by many and had influenced every person he had come close to. He was selfless, intelligent, and so special. Family was everything to him.

In addition to his wife Sheila, Paul is survived by his daughter Pamela Ann Downey of Fall River, and Nancy Rioux; his cherished grandchildren Kendra Prefontaine (longtime companion Austen Kreiner), and Jarad Downey (wife Shai Downey), Kayla Longstone, Mason St. Pierre Rioux and the late Brian Rioux; great grandchildren Aleah & Aubree Prefontaine, and Nathan & Liam Downey, and Jordan Rioux; and several nieces & nephews.

Paul was the brother of the late Maurice, Edmond, John, Lionell, & Nelson Rioux, and Rochelle Emond.

Paul's private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA.
