FALL RIVER - We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2024 at the age of 83, Paulina R. (Canto) Aguiar of Fall River passed away at St. Anne's Hospital with her family by her side. Wife of the late Fernando O. Aguiar, and born in São Miguel, Açores, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Viveiros) Canto. Paulina worked as a machine operator at Quaker Fabrics for over 15 years. She was a parishioner at Santo Cristo Church. She enjoyed going to Highland Adult Daycare, cooking and baking, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was loved and cherished by many people including her children Natalie Vasconcelos, Luis Aguiar and his wife Rosa, and the late Antonio Aguiar and his wife Fatima, all of Fall River; siblings Manuel and Luis Canto of Canada and the late Sara Almeida; grandchildren Kathleen, Kimberly, Justin, Nathan and Alexandra; great-grandchildren Nina, Jose Jr., Aelyn, Acein, Amias and Ajay; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, March 4th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Santo Cristo Church at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday, March 3rd from 4-7 P.M.
