Fall River- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paulo M. Costa, age 61, on August 19, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in St Michael Açores he was the son of Maria (Braga) Rego and the late David Rego.

He worked as a dedicated carpenter, known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and the care he showed toward others—often giving of himself even when it meant personal sacrifice. Though reserved and private, and not a man of many words, his determination and rebellious spirit made him stand out. He had a deep appreciation for jewelry and all kinds of music, and he cherished time spent with children, especially his beloved nieces and nephews. He found joy in the outdoors, whether simply sitting in the sun, enjoying the beauty of the ocean, or sharing a good meal. His quiet strength and caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Paulo survived by his siblings; Clarisse Botelho (Spouse Duarte), Helena daGloria (Spouse Ronildo), Ricardo Costa, Victor Costa, Melinda Costa, Jose Costa, Cremilde Costa, David Costa and Jesse Rego. Preceded in death by his brother Eduardo Costa.

Additional survivors are Ana Carvalho (Cousin) and her husband David Carvalho were his devoted caregiver. Ana was more like a sister to him—offering unwavering love, support, and comfort through every stage of his life. David Carvalho stood by him faithfully, always going above and beyond in countless ways. Together, they were his angels on earth, surrounding him with care, loyalty, and compassion, ensuring he was never alone and always deeply loved.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
