Peter J. Machado, husband to Patricia A.M. Machado, beloved husband of the late Alexis Langford Machado, died Monday, June 29, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.

Born in Fall River, MA Peter was the son of the late Belmira and Henry Archambault. He graduated from Durfee High School in 1966 and joined the US Army on November 30, 1966. He was a Vietnam veteran with the 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Brigade Combat Team from March 1968 until February 1969.

Peter worked at Raytheon Company for 38 years in the Supply Chain and Production Control Systems. Peter is also a recovering alcoholic for 43 years and also a recovering compulsive gambler for 42 years. He had a strong belief in a Higher Power that he calls Jesus Christ. To his brothers & sisters, please continue to carry your higher powers message one day at a time.

Peter was an avid New England Sports Fan, especially following the NE Patriots & the Boston Red Sox. In his younger years, Peter was an outstanding baseball player. He loved to travel with his family, enjoyed watching his grandchildren in whatever they were doing. Most of all, Peter loved spending time with his family, extended family, and friends.

He is survived by his 2 sons Joseph & Jason Machado (wife Amie). He also has a step-son Jesse Langford (wife Laura) from Rockland. ME; a step-son Steve Rebello (wife Fran) of Kingsley, CT; and a step-daughter Darlene Louro (husband Marcel). He has 10 grandchildren, that he prays that God's grace will watch over them. They are Devin Machado (wife Alexandra), Dylan & Justin Machado, Jesse Jr., Will, and Ryan Langford, Vinnie & Sammy Rebello, Marcello, and Julia Louro. Finally a brother Mike Archambault (partner Karen); his cousin /brother Herb Holt (wife Claudette); brothers-in-law Mike & Dan Henessey (wife Donna).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Peter's memory to the MS Society or to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Visitation for Peter will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 8:30-10:30 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA with a funeral mass at St. Joseph's Church at 11:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
