FALL RIVER – Phyllis (Dowd) Panchley, age 89, passed away peacefully at the Catholic Memorial Home on February 6, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Arthur Panchley. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Bennett and Ellen (Pine) Dowd. Prior to retirement, Phyllis worked as a secretary for the Newport Naval Base for many years.

Phyllis was a loving mother to her 4 sons: Thomas "Skip" Panchley of W. Greenwich, RI, the late Jeffrey Panchley of Jenson Beach, FL, John Panchley of Tiverton, RI and William Panchley of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister of Steve Dowd and the late Buddy Dowd, Beatrice Arranets, Jimmy Dowd, Shirley Varanese and Cynthia Lamb. She was also a grandmother to 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
