Randall J.
Soares
Jul 22, 1968 — Aug 17, 2022
Fall River
FALL RIVER - Randall J. Soares, age 54 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the son of Joseph Soares Sr., the late Olga (Clemente) Soares, and the lifelong partner of Nellie Sineiro.
Randy was currently working at the Fall River Wastewater Treatment Facility as a Grade 7-Full Plant Operator, and he was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 251 Union for over 20 years. In life, Randy had managed to find the perfect balance between seeking adventure and enjoying his time to unwind.
He was passionate about his family, friends, and his animals—of which he had cared for many, but his favorite were his cats. He especially adored his soul cat, Binx "Punky Johnson." Randy was a wonderful, kind, and gentle father to two girls, who he put before everything and everyone. He will be remembered as a father who taught his daughters the power of laughter, of their own strength, and of compassion. He loved his girls endlessly.
Randy was never one to shy from excitement, and much of his life, was spent chasing adventures such as horseback riding, skiing, and driving fast cars, to name a few. His time to relax was spent with a nice glass of whiskey, playing computer games, strumming his acoustic guitar, listening to music, and sending hilarious text messages to all his friends and family at all hours of the night. He spared no expense when it came to bringing a smile to your face. Randy could always be depended upon to lift your spirits whether you wanted him to, or not.
Apart from his jokes, Randy loved to tell stories. He had a way of telling them that made you feel like you were right there with him; and you didn't even care that it was the fourth time you'd heard it, you just loved listening to him. As you continue to remember him, continue to tell his stories and allow his memory to bring you joy and laughter.
A son, brother, father, and friend; forever in our hearts. In addition to his father and lifelong partner, Randall is survived by his 2 daughters: Melinda Soares (significant other Christian Solivan) and Jennifer Miranda (husband Alexander); siblings: Deborah Linhares (husband Manuel), Joseph Soares Jr. (wife Jody), Jeffrey Soares (wife Lynn), and Michael Soares (significant other Victoria Johnson); his grandson Jayden Solivan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles & friends.
A visitation for Randall will be held on Sunday, August 21st from 5:00-7:00 P.M. as well as Monday, August 22nd, from 9:30-11:30 A.M. at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N.
