Richard Rego, age 57 of Fall River, passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026 at RI Hospital with his family by his side. Born and raised in Fall River, Richard was the beloved son of Climena (Teixeira) Rego and the late John L. Rego.

Richard worked hard in construction and asphalt paving. He enjoyed and was quite adept at running many of the industry's machinery.

He loved being outdoors riding all forms of two-wheel vehicles; first dirt biking, and later riding his motorcycle.

He enjoyed watching pro-wrestling. In his 20's, he trained and performed in semi-pro wrestling, performing with agility, all sorts of moves, maneuvers, and holds.

In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his children Shaunna Carreiro, and Zachary Nicholas Rego; his brother Chris Rego of Swansea; nephew Mason Rego; aunts Natercia Teixeira and Maria L. Rego; uncles Gabriel Teixeira, Humberto R. Rego, and Frank Rego; and cousins Gabe C. Teixeira, Satchel Teixeira-McCarthy, Alice M. Rego, Humberto A. Rego, Richard A. DaSilva, Kyle I. Rego, Emanuel Rego, and Deborah Rego.
