Richard
Kitchen
Feb 13, 1950 — Mar 4, 2024
FALL RIVER - We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2024, at the age of 74, Richard Kitchen passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Helen (Mello) Kitchen. Born in Fall River, son of the late Henry and Charlotte (Harrington) Kitchen.
Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served honorably for the Army as a Specialist. Prior to retirement, he held the role of Administrator for the City of Fall River Cemetery & Tree Division. Richard enjoyed cruises, beach outings, and, above all, cherished his family. Those fortunate enough to know him were touched by the joy, laughter, and warmth he brought into their lives. His family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of his love, laughter, and wisdom.
Along with his wife, he was loved and cherished by many people including his children Richard Kitchen (wife Jennifer) of Wading River, NY, Julie Rein (husband Shane) of Bridgewater and Kelly Blackburn (husband Ryan) of Swansea; brothers Michael, Gerald and Patrick Kitchen; grandchildren Dylan, Tyler, Matthew, Michael, Grayce, Emerson, Brady, Charlotte, Ryan and Vivienne; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember the beautiful life he lived and find comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched by joining in celebrating Richard's life. Following cremation, friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday morning, March 13th from 9-11 A.M. at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
