FALL RIVER – Richard T. Maynard Sr., age 78, passed away on December 13, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Pacheco) Maynard. Born in Westport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Medeiros) Maynard. Richard was a bus driver for The Boys & Girls Club for 25 years. He was an avid New England sports fan and loved to collect baseball cards. He enjoyed getting his daily newspaper and watching all the soap operas, especially General Hospital. He was a family man who enjoyed spending any spare time that he had with his family and friends at parties and events.

Along with his wife, Richard will be remembered fondly by his children Richard Maynard Jr., Carol Bouchard and Cheryl Ebbesen, all of Fall River; 7 grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Tasha & Jeremy Folger and Jessalyn, Jacob & Tyler Ebbesen; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday, December 21st at 10 A.M. Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Calling hours on Wednesday, December 20th from 5-7 PM.
