Richard Michael Rogers Jr., age 66 of Whitman, MA, passed away on June 2, 2026 at Brockton Hospital. He was the son of the late Richard Michael Rogers Sr. and the late Rita Theresa (Lynch) Rogers.

Richard was a 1977 graduate of Somerset High School, and attended SMU now UMass Dartmouth. At the time of his passing, Richard was working at Regal Marketplace in Whitman, and had previously been employed for Whitman Company Metal Finishing for 25 years, and before that, he had worked for Stop & Shop.

He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed listening to his music, and loved singing in the church choir. Richard was very kind hearted as a child, which stayed with him into his adulthood. He will be sorely missed by his co-workers and his many friends, especially Richard's neighbor's the Talbot family, whom treated him like family.

Richard is survived by his four sisters Rosanne Rogers Joyce, Robin Rogers Abrantes, Rebecca Rogers, and Rita Rogers Menard, along with several nieces & nephews.
