Robert John Raposa, age 77 of Assonet passed peacefully at his home. Born in Fall River he was beloved husband of Barbara A. Raposa of 30 years.  He was the son of the late John S. Raposa and the late Eva P. (Rego) Raposa.

Bob was a graduate from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's degree in History.  Prior to his retirement he was a Supervisor for Citizens for Citizens.  Bob had a lengthy career in the manufacturing industry he was Plant Manager of Chase Curtain; Rennie Curtain, and Corona Curtain, which led him to owning and operating R & R manufacturing that was based in Taunton Ma.

Bob was an avid sports fan and was a season ticket owner to the NE Patriots since they played at Shaefer Stadium. Bob was also known to give lengthy analysis of football games and armchair coaching when watching from home. Bob loved History and Politics and had a wealth of knowledge of both.  He enjoyed swimming, racquet ball and the beach. But he most enjoyed time at home cooking with his wife Barbara, his dog Jazzie (that he loved) and Brady the cat (who was loved not so much).

In addition to his wife Barbara, Bob is survived by his children Michael and Elizabeth; a brother; Paul A. Raposa; grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
