FALL RIVER… Robert W. Ramos, age 79, passed at on Friday, October 25, 2024, at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA after a brief illness. Robert was the loving husband of 56 years to Christine (Furtado) Ramos of Fall River, MA. A proud lifelong resident of Fall River, he was son of the late Henry and Beatrice (Colon) Ramos.

Robert retired from the City of Fall River Traffic Dept. after a long career working in his community. In his earlier years, Robert had also worked as a chef and continued cooking at home for his family over the years. He was well known for his food and could take on any cooking challenge. Robert's chicken parm was an especially memorable dish. He had a lifelong love of the outdoors and enjoyed both hunting and fishing, hobbies he loved to share with his sons. He kept active over the years, working out and staying connected to the outdoors going for walks. When at home, Robert loved to watch TV, especially old John Wayne movies. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Robert was survived by: sons, Robert Ramos, Jr., of Boston, MA and Glenn Ramos of Fall River, MA; brothers, Ronald Ramos of Dartmouth, MA and Steven Ramos of Swansea; grandson, Trevin Ramos and his mother Kelly Duarte; and niece, Alexis Branco-Furtado. Robert was predeceased by his brother, the late Alan Ramos.
