Robert J. Silva, 83 of Fall River, died on August 28, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was the husband of the late Dolores Silva of Fall River.

Born in Fall River, MA he was a proud graduate of UMass Dartmouth (formerly SMU) earning a degree in mechanical engineering.

He is survived by his son, Robert F. Silva (Margaret) of Attleboro and his daughter, Sheril (Wayne Sylvia) of Swansea, his grandson, Patrick J. Silva (Elizabeth) of Vermont and his two great granddaughters as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Diane, and his grandson, Robert Allan of Vermont.

Robert's wake will be held on Thursday, September 3rd from 5-7pm at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, with a Funeral Mass taking place at Holy Name Church, Hanover Street Fall River on Friday, September 4th at 10:00am. A private burial will take place following the Mass.
