FALL RIVER – Roderick Cabral, age 88, passed away peacefully at Southpointe Rehabilitative Center on September 14, 2024. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Bird) Cabral. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John Cabral and Mary (Perry) Cadillac.

Roderick was an avid collector with a passion for unique and vintage items. His favorites included brooches, radios, guns, knives, and watches. A natural tinkerer, he also had a deep love for antique cars.

Roderick was survived by his children Lorna Cabral of Altoona, FL, Geraldine DeMelo (husband Daniel) of Altoona, FL, Robert Cabral of New Smyrna Beach, FL and predeceased by his son Ronald Cabral. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren Justin Cabral, Daniel DeMelo Jr., Jessica Packard DeMelo, Paige Mercer, Robert Cabral Jr., Clarissa Cabral and Ronnie Cabral Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren of Peyton Packard, Carter Packard, Leon Luis, Everett Packard and Greysyn Packard; many siblings, nieces and nephews, and his daughter-in-law Rhonda Cabral.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery on November 18th at 11 A.M. Arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
