Roland J. Megna, age 84 and a lifelong resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Frances (Tallman) Megna and the late Anna (Cadime) Megna. Roland was the son of the late Mario "Mike" Megna & Gabrielle (Marcotte) Megna.

Roland was predeceased by his brother Bob (Lorraine) Megna, Father-in-law Bob (Gerry) Tallman, and brother-in-law Skip (Sue) Tallman.

In his younger years, Roland worked for Baker Construction, then for Sam Miller at Empire Chevrolet Dealership. He also worked at Barboza Ford for Al Vieira and at Barry Nissan.

Roland looked forward to the weekends, following the band Generation w/ Frankie James, the group Kings Row, dancing with his wife Fran, family, and friends at the Oriental Pearl and many other clubs. But Roland's best days ever were spent at the summer cottage in Westport where he enjoyed fishing & partying on the Watuppa. Roland was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. One of Roland's great phrases that he spoke often was "Game Over, Right Fran".

In addition to his wife Fran, Roland is survived by his three children Dawn Andrade and her husband Michael of Assonet, Jodi Cabral and her husband Clint of Fall River, and Scott Megna and his wife Pam of Fall River; four grandchildren Hunter Megna, Corey Andrade, Taylor Cabral, and Colby Cabral; several nieces & nephews.

Roland's funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Private Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery.
