FALL RIVER – Roland Gerard "Specs" Bouchard, age 90, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on December 16, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Lydia (Medeiros) Bouchard. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Eloi and Antoinette (Thibault) Bouchard.

Roland was a 1953 graduate of BMC Durfee High School. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast and a standout basketball player for St. Matthew's CYO, the YMCA, Fall River Boys & Girls Club and Globe Mfg. Industrial League, as well as being a loyal New England Sports fan. He dedicated 39 years to Globe Manufacturing following earlier roles at the Fall River Herald News and Firestone. He will be remembered for his athletic spirit and his decades of hard work and dedication to his community.

Survived by his children Kevin Bouchard (wife Robin) of Taunton and Lori Beth Manning (husband Michael) of FL; sister Pauline Montour; as well as other family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Lucille Picard and brother Robert Bouchard.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, December 29th at 12 P.M. at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River. Arrangements were under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
