Rosalie P.
Welchman
Apr 28, 1938 — Nov 1, 2026
Tiverton
TIVERTON - Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our beloved mother Rosalie P. Welchman, age 88, who passed on November 1, 2026 at Crestwood Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Welchman. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Olympia (Pereira) Torres.
Rosalie lived her life with the profound belief that the key to happiness was love, family, and friends. Those relationships filled her soul with joy that spread to anyone she cared for. She was the heart of her family and the life of the party. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, beautiful smile and generosity. If she loved you, you knew it. She loved spending time at Fogland Beach, digging for quahogs with the love her life, Arthur, and playing with her children and grandchildren. Most of all, she enjoyed time...whether it was a wedding, graduation, first communion, party, or sitting with her friends on the porch, Rosalie made each moment count. She kept everyone's bellies full and made the best deviled eggs the world has ever known. Her chourico and peppers was legendary. She laughed hard, spoken from the heart, and loved with conviction. Hers was simply a life well lived and she will be remembered always.
She was survived by her children Kathy Griffiths (spouse Scott) of Tiverton, Kenneth Welchman (spouse Erin) of Tiverton, Kim Ramsay (spouse Scott) of Fall River, Kyle Welchman (spouse Sarah) of Dartmouth and Kris Welchman (spouse Christine) of Tiverton; brother Ronald Torres of Fall River; grandchildren Christopher, Krystal, Andrea, Arthur, Alyssa, Kenneth, Kayla, Samantha, Emma, Anneke, Sam, Chloe and Max; great-grandchildren Lauren, Alex, Connor, Owen, Violet, Isabel, Oliver, Brooks, Cooper and Livia; cousin Joe Brilhante; dear friend Karen Arruda; goddaughter Laurie Drabble; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Torres.
Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. To send the family Expressions of Sympathy, please click the Guest Book below.
