Obituary

FALL RIVER-In loving memory, we honor the life of Rose Marie Dalphin, age 98, who passed peacefully on October 17, 2026. She was the beloved wife to the late Richard Stephen Dalphin. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter to the late Henry DeGrace and Mary Angel (Rego) DeGrace.

She was a loving and kind woman who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Those who knew her always spoke fondly of her, and it was rare to hear anyone have anything but wonderful things to say about her. Affectionately known as the “Queen of the Hallway,” she was recognized for her charming, princess-like wave that brought smiles to those around her. She and her husband were proud members of the Hay Day Lions Club District #33 where they shared their time and dedication with others.

A talented artist with a creative spirit, she had a true passion for crafting and especially enjoyed creating alongside her husband. Rose had award winning ceramic pieces, and also loved making beaded Christmas ornaments, plus many other beaded creations. After many years away from it, she had recently rediscovered her love for beading, returning to a hobby that brought her joy. Her creativity was a special part of who she was, and she found happiness in making things with her own hands.

Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of countless people, many of whom her family never even knew about. Hearing the stories of the lives she had influenced was both surprising and deeply heartwarming for her loved ones. She wanted to be remembered, and there is no doubt that she will be. The love she shared, the kindness she showed, and the lasting impact she made on so many lives ensure that her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rose survived by her daughter: Donna Silva (husband Stephen), the late Christine D. Wilson (husband Donald); grandchildren: Alan, Scott and Stacy Cunha, Richard and Steven Wilson; great-grandchildren: Samantha Brown, Kaitlyn Cunha, Marissa and Dillon Cunha, Sydney Kemp, Meagan Wilson and Max Wilson; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Theodore DeGrace, Henry DeGrace, Henrietta Hellman and Anthony Gonsalves.

Rose’s service will take place Wednesday, November 4th at 11 A.M, here at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, following an interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
