FALL RIVER – Ruth A.(Snellings) Young, age 74 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. Born in Portsmouth, VA, Ruth was the daughter of the late Edward Snellings & Ruth E. (Kane) Snellings.

Prior to retiring, Ruth had worked as a Food-Service Manager for Worcester State College. She then worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for the Worcester Jewish Home. Some of Ruth's life passions were her love for animals, her studying and reading about Religion and Theology, along with her creative & artistic pursuits. Most of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved Daughter, Krista McNamara (Husband Joseph) of Tiverton; Granddaughter, Samantha Gillian (Husband Sean); Grandson, Joseph McNamara IV (fiancée Samantha DaSilva); Great Granddaughter, Natalee Gillian; Ruth's best friend, Peggy Charette; her Sister, Paula, and Brother, Edward; along with Nieces & Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name, to the Faxon Animal Care & Adoption Center, 474 Durfee St, Fall River, MA 02720.

Family and friends are invited to attend Ruth's Calling hours on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 5-7 P.M. with a Service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N.
