SWANSEA-With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra L. Maccarone, age 80, who passed at Millbrook Rehab and Healthcare on June 20, 2026. Born in Fall River she was the daughter to the late Mitchell P. Sweet and Irene (Mello) Sweet.

She was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother to Logan and Hannah. Family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time outdoors, baking for family and friends, and cheering on the Boston Red Sox.

She dedicated more than 40 years of service to McDonalds, working at the Plymouth Avenue and President Avenue locations in Fall River. Through her hard work and leadership, she rose to become a District Manager, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her career.

She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, love of family, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her.

Sandra is survived by her son Scott Maccarone (dedicated wife Rochelle); grandchildren Logan and Hannah Maccarone; her late brother Mitchell P. Sweet Jr. (wife Claire) and nephew Mitchell P Sweet III; and a sister and her children.
