Sandra "Sandy"
Souza
Mar 30, 1961 — Jul 28, 2026
FALL RIVER – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Souza, age 65, of Fall River, MA. Our beloved Sandy touched the lives of everyone she knew with her kindness, humor and loving spirit.
Sandy proudly owned and operated South Coast Video for many years, becoming a familiar face and friend to many in the community. She later worked in security at St. Anne's Hospital, where she was respected for her dedication and caring nature.
Sandy was funny, strong-willed, and stubborn in her own loving way. She had a gift for making people laugh and could brighten any room with her wit and infectious personality. Her loyalty and genuine care for others allowed her to build lifelong friendships that she cherished deeply.
She was happiest at home, cooking elaborate meals for family and friends and sharing the love she expressed so naturally through food. Sandy also adored her cats, spoiling them endlessly and treating them as cherished family members.
Sandy leaves behind her loving companion George Botelho Jr.; her sister Corinne DiNucci; nephews Nathan DiNucci, Nicholas Paquette, and Tyler Bankston (wife Jessi) and a niece Amber Slone (husband Jamie); along with many great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Ernest Souza III, her parents Edward and Lorraine (Almas) DaPonte, her sister Cheryl Paquette and nephew Jason Paquette.
Though she is no longer with us, the memories of her laughter, compassion, and unwavering love will remain in our hearts forever. Sandy will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
Per Sandy's wishes, her cremation services are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, Fall River. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
