FALL RIVER – Sara (Melo) Ferreira, age 91 and a resident of Fall River, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, Sara was the beloved wife of the late Cristovao Ferreira and the daughter of the late Jacinto & Rosa Melo.

Sara dedicated her life to raising her children and then helping to raise and spoil her grandchildren.

Survivors include her 2 Sons: Abel Ferreira (wife Susan) of Tiverton, RI, and Anthony "Tony" Ferreira of Fall River; Several Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; & Many Nieces & Nephews. Sara was predeceased by her Daughter: Rose Ferreira, and her Son: Cristovao Ferreira Jr., and all of her siblings.
