Serafim DeMedeiros, age 97 of Dartmouth and previously of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in the comforts of his home. Born on Oct. 10, 1926 in Agua Retorta, São Miguel, Azores, Serafim was the husband of the late Victa Germana (Sardinha) DeMedeiros, and the son of the late Manuel DeMedeiros and the late Olimpia Raposo Branco.

Prior to retiring, Serafim was a factory worker in the local textile mills. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church, served as a eucharistic minister, and also enjoyed gardening.

Serafim is survived by her daughter Paula Puim (husband Nuno) of Dartmouth, two grandchildren Natasha Puim and Timothy Puim, two great grandchildren Mia V. Puim, and Maxwell V. Puim, nieces & nephews. Serafim was predeceased by his sisters Maria Joana Santos and Alexandrina Silva.

Serafim's funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, April 30th at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael's Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
