FALL RIVER- In loving memory, we honor the life of Stanley M. Sarna, age 76, who passed away on March 8, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the beloved son to the late Stanley T. Sarna and Pauline (Couto) Sarna.

He served proudly as a police officer with the Fall River Police Department for 32 years, dedicating his life to protecting and serving his community. A devoted Catholic, his faith was an important part of who he was.

In his free time, he loved cheering on Boston's teams—the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins—and could often be found watching a game or keeping up with the news on CNN.

He especially cherished time spent fishing with his brother, moments that brought him peace and happiness. He will be remembered for his dedication, his loyalty to those he loved, and the simple joys that meant so much to him.

Stanley survived by his brother Stephen J. Sarna of Fall River. He was predeceased by his sisters; Nancy Carreira and Carol A. Sarna.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, March 18th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian St. Joseph's Church at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Tuesday, March 17th from 4-6 P.M.
