Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen James Marshall on November 14, 2024, at the age of 75. Stephen, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital with his loving family by his side. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Born on September 16, 1949, in Providence, Stephen was the youngest son of George and Albina (Dwyer) Marshall. Stephen was the beloved husband of Catherine (Dionne) Marshall. He grew up in a loving household and developed a lifelong passion for golf and football. Stephen built a successful career in various golf and business endeavors.

Outside of his career, Stephen was known for his kindness, wit, and love of his family. He had a natural gift for making those around him feel valued and loved. Whether he was offering guidance, telling a funny story, or simply lending a helping hand. Stephen was full of funny animations and sounds that went along with his antics. Stephen's family was his greatest source of pride and joy.

He is survived by his amazing wife Cathrine, three children Eric Marshall, Alison Gaudette, and Kyle Marshall.  His grandchildren, Avery, Bowen, Eloise, Noah, Luke, and his siblings Kathleen Wall and Mary Elizabeth Burke, as well as many nieces, nephews, son and daughter in-laws, and dear friends. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Stephen's life will be held at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, Nov. 22nd from 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Alzheimer's Association of Rhode Island (www.alz.org/ri) in Stephen's memory. Stephen will be remembered for his warmth, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the countless memories he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
