Steven Keith Laquerre Sr., age 69 of Tiverton, RI, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Winchester, MA, Steven was the beloved husband of Margaret "Marge" (Prentiss) Laquerre and he was predeceased by his parents George & Delia (Oliveira) Laquerre, his son Michael Laquerre, and his brother Warren Laquerre.

Steven served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and then in the Marine Corps Reserves. He was proud to have served his country. Steven had worked as an Over the Road Truck Driver for many years.  He was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, but his greatest accomplishment was creating a wonderful life with his wife, whom he affectionately referred to as his "girlfriend," with whom he celebrated over 50 years of marriage.

Steven eagerly anticipated tackling his "honey do" lists on weekends, whether it involved planting flowers, maintaining the pool, or making repairs around the house; he found his greatest joy in spending quality time with his family. Steven was known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering generosity. He epitomized the essence of a family man, always prioritizing the well-being of his loved ones. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Marge, Steven is survived by his son Steven K. Laquerre Jr. and his wife Leighann of Winthrop, MA; his sister Frances Dacey of Taunton, MA; his brother David Laquerre of Warwick, RI; his adored grandchildren Steven R. Laquerre, Alyssa Laquerre, Leah Laquerre, and Jaxen Laquerre; his nephew Bryan Laquerre of South Dartmouth, MA; his niece Malerie Rosa of Fall River, MA; his sister-in-law Robin Laquerre of Fall River, MA.

Following cremation, a visitation with military honors for Steven will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16th from 12-4pm in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA.
