FALL RIVER - With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Marie Howard, who passed away on November 05,2024 at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was the wife of Jeffrey Taylor Howard, and the daughter of Martha LePage Richard and Phillip Richard of Fall River.

Along with her husband and parents, she was loved and cherished by many people including her children Jason Howard and Emily Howard, all of Fall River; grandchildren Ethan Howard, Michael Howard, Logan Howard, Jack Carvalho, Madison Howard, and a baby on the way; sisters Debra Thurston and Donna Rodrigues; as well as many nieces and nephews and other family members.

A beloved mother and grandmother, she was also a 35-year veteran of Charlton Memorial Hospital, where her compassion and unwavering support touched countless lives. Known for her gentle presence and tireless work ethic, Susan devoted herself wholeheartedly to her career and to the patients and families she cared for.

Outside work, Susan found joy in life's simplest pleasures. She loved camping with family and friends, spending time at her house in Naples FL, and adored her grandchildren, who were a true source of happiness, and was always ready to spoil them with her baking-a talent she was known for and which her family will cherish.

Susan's kindness, warmth, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and resilience that will live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched in her work.

A celebration of life for Susan will take place at a later date following cremation. Please check back on our website periodically to when her memorial will be added.
