Teresa Rebelo, age 88 and a longtime resident of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born in Remédios da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, Teresa was the beloved wife of 58 yrs. to the late Messias C. Rebelo, and the daughter of the late Manuel Oliveira and the late Margarida (Cabral) Oliveira. Teresa was also predeceased by her siblings Maria Arruda, Balbinha Carvalho, Luis Oliveira, Beatriz Freitas, Natalia Costa, Silvana Farias.

Prior to retiring, Teresa worked for the former Shelburn Shirt Co. as a machine operator. Teresa was a devoted Catholic and belonged to several prayer groups. Teresa loved watching wrestling and playing bingo (“without interruption”). But most of all Teresa loved her family.

Teresa loved everyone; however, she had a special place in her heart for her nurse Liz, her CNA’s Tanisha and Megan. Thank you so much for all you have done, words can’t express our gratitude.

Teresa is survived by her 5 children Gloria DeMelo (Manuel) of Fairhaven, Carlos Rebello (Ana) of Fall River, Vasco Rebello (Lynne) of N. Dartmouth, Messias "Cy" Rebelo (Julie) of Rockledge, FL, and David Rebelo of Fall River; 3 siblings Manuel Oliveira, Jose Oliveira, and Margarida Brito all of Canada; 12 grandchildren Liza, Kevin, Tiffany, Chad, Sacha, Nathan, Kristopher, Alexandria, Matthew, Christopher, Joshua, & Lauren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.

Morning Visitation for Teresa will be held at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on October 23rd from 8:45-10:15 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. at 11:00 AM. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
